A. Chandler Collins, D.C.

Services Offered by Dr. Collins

Applied Kinesiology

A system that evaluates structural, chemical, and mental aspects of health using manual muscle testing alongside other standard methods of diagnosis.  Muscles lacking sufficient neurological stimulation are identified and an attempt is then made to determine why that muscle is not functioning properly.  Dr. Collins has completed extensive training in advanced AK techniques.

Athletic Injury Evaluation

Dr. Collins has pursued both conventional study as well as AK focused approaches to problems afflicting the athlete.  The ability to specifically evaluate how an athlete's muscles function around an injured area makes AK an incredibly powerful tool in both prevention and management of athletic injuries.

Lactate Threshold Testing

This fitness and performance test, done on a cycling ergometer, measures power output, heart rate, and lactic acid levels in the blood to determine the most important training intensities for any individual. It is absolutely the gold standard for elite and professional athletes, and anyone wanting to simply get the most out of their training time.

Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis

Stories about profoundly sick people coming back with "normal" blood tests are common.  Dr. Collins' training in this area has aided in his ability to evaluate blood chemistry with a focus on uncovering commonly missed conditions.

Endocrinology

Dr. Collins' study of the management of our hormonal systems has aided in his ability to assess all aspects of health for both men and women.

Back Injury Prevention and Workplace Ergonomics

Dr. Collins is a certified Red Cross instructor in these areas.

Functional Neurological Assessment

As the effects of Chiropractic are primarily mediated by the nervous system, Dr. Collins has pursued additional study in this area through the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies, the premier organization in the study of Chiropractic Neurology.

In my opinion Dr Chandler is the quintessence of what a good Healer should be: instead of using invasive and irreversible surgical procedures and prescribing expensive and iatrogenic pharmaceuticals he educates the patient to become aware of the tremendous recuperative powers of the human body, assume personal responsibility for your health, and stay informed. When I count my blessings I count him twice. I highly recommend him.
